Printer Fix ("the app", "we", "us") is a mobile application that helps users look up printer error codes, troubleshooting steps, maintenance tips, and general printer information. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the app and how it is used.

Information we collect directly

Printer Fix does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. The error code database, maintenance guides, and other reference content work entirely offline and are stored locally within the app — we do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any server.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Printer Fix displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. To serve and measure ads, Google AdMob's Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process certain data on our behalf, which can include:

• Advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID)
• Device information (device type, operating system version)
• Approximate location (derived from IP address, not precise GPS)
• App interaction data related to ads (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and their AdMob data collection disclosure. You can review and adjust your ad personalization settings at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of interest-based advertising through your device's system settings.

Permissions the app requests

• Internet access — required so that Google AdMob can load and display ads.
• Notifications — used only to send an optional monthly reminder about printer maintenance. You can decline this permission or turn it off at any time in your device's notification settings, and the app will continue to work normally.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information with third parties, other than the advertising data processed by Google AdMob as described above, which is necessary for the app's ad-supported free model to function.

Children's privacy

Printer Fix is a general-audience reference tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Data retention

Since the app does not collect or store personal data on our own servers, there is no personal data for us to retain or delete beyond what Google AdMob independently processes under its own policies.
